What happens to a brilliant child who is entirely misunderstood by his parents? What changes inside of us when our dreams are disregarded and our potential underestimated? Paulo Coehlo takes us into his “Best Story,” his personal story. This is not a mystical story of epic adventure like so many might expect after reading his fiction work – this is the story of a new mind in an old world, and all that comes with it...including plenty of adventure.

Let’s get some of the obvious points out of the way. This is an autobiographical look at legendary author Paulo Coehlo’s personal journey.  It is told using multiple timelines tying together the constantly changing dynamics of the different stages of his life, like the creatively stifling moments in his childhood, with creatively blocked moments of his early adult life, juxtaposing them with moments of extreme success as an author, not having been changed by success, but still carrying the same stoic depth and disinterest in pleasantries along with him.
